Assistant Site Director

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Assistant Site Director is primarily an administrative role within a discipleship ministry environment. The Assistant Site Director seeks to take administrative tasks off the Site Director’s plate so the Site Director can primarily focus on student needs. Assistant Site Directors are expected to be proactive and primarily handle all of the administrative functions of a OneLife site as well as contribute to the discipleship of students. The Assistant Site Director has a deep desire to set goals and accomplish tasks that help students grow in their relationship with God and knowledge of God’s Word. Words associated with a Assistant Site Director include: mentor, leader, ownership, purposeful, administrator, organizational, detail oriented, and a team player.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

(Specifics vary by site)
  • Own all administrative and logistical responsibilities. Assist in creating and grading assignments for each course.
  • Schedule speakers to coordinate speaker logistics (Travel, Lodging, Food).
  • Develop experiential learning components for each course w/ the Site Director
  • Help students develop a plan for “life after OneLife”.
  • Oversee service experiences and nurture relationships with current site and ministry partners.
  • Oversee the weekly survey and assessment process.
  • Meet with 4-6 students in a weekly discipleship triad.
  • Lead the development and logistical execution of trips.
  • One corporate responsibility (TREK, international trips, or something else)

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a Bible Study group
  • Coach a committee
  • Assist in recruiting/admissions (open house, interviews, visits)
  • Teach supplemental material in a classroom setting.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Deep desire to be challenged to grow as a leader and disciple of Jesus
  • Willingness to work in a focused residential learning environment with limited electronic technology
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or experience in mentoring/discipleship ministry

POSITION INCLUDES

  • Room and board may be available dependent upon the site.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

The Assistant Site Director reports directly to the Site Director weekly to ensure accountability to the goals set for the Site Director as well as leadership and corporate coaching.
