A lifelong learner with a heart for student formation, Dr. Cooper holds an MA, MDiv, MBA, and a PhD. He is the author of over 15 books and has spent his career serving in Christian higher education as a professor, dean, and vice president. An avid traveler who has visited more than 80 countries, he loves taking students on immersive journeys to the lands of the Bible to help God’s Word come alive. When he isn’t teaching or traveling, Dr. Cooper enjoys encouraging the next generation to live with purpose, conviction, and a deep love for Christ.
Dr. Derek Cooper serves as the President of OneLife Institute, a gap year program dedicated to helping students discover their calling through intentional discipleship, hands-on experiences, and college credit.
Derek loves connecting with students and communities!
