What a packed week we’ve had! Between presentation week and the excitement of fall festivities, there was never a dull moment.
One of the highlights was getting to serve alongside some of the local community through a fun fall event where children came to visit residents in assisted living. It was heartwarming to watch generations come together — especially seeing how much kindness and gratitude the seniors showed to the little ones (and even some puppies!). One resident in particular stood out to me—she’s over 100 years old and reminded us all how important manners and gratitude are, no matter your age.
Of course, the fun didn’t stop there. We celebrated fall with a festive party full of talents, laughter, and even a friendly pumpkin carving competition between guys and girls. We also took time to celebrate one of our own, sharing kind words and encouragement in a truly special moment of community.
On the academic side, our presentation week was a huge success. Everyone brought creativity and humor into exploring important topics about truth, narratives, and the reality of sin. My group’s presentation on lying was eye-opening and sparked great conversations — and yes, even a few jokes!
We wrapped up the week with a special video our media team put together, sharing encouragement for one of our favorite students and roommates, who really embodies the spirit of our community.
From meaningful service to creative presentations and festive fun, this week was a beautiful mix of growth and joy. I’m looking forward to what God will teach us next as we move into our spiritual formation retreat — stay tuned!
